Few brake friction compounds are as highly regarded as Pagid RS4-2 (known by many as 'PAGID Blue'). Originally developed in the late 1980's RS4-2 Pagid's biggest selling and most versatile friction compound.

RS4-2 Blue

High Performance compound with low fading characteristics and high cold friction. The RS 4-2-1 is a medium friction compound and very easy on the discs. Very popular for brake up grades or tuning. It is OE on various prestige sports car manufacturers. Capable of driving effectively around town with low noise and control, then capable of stopping the same vehicle from 200mph on the test track.

Toe Links

A Carbon based friction material developed from RS4-2 but with a progressively increasing friction curve, giving it lower friction than RS4-2 below 300°c and higher friction above 300°c. It offers slightly less initial bite and low temperature response than RS4-2, but with the same high levels of controllability.

RS5 Blue

The latest development from the engineers at Pagid, the initial design criteria was for a material specific for F3. However initial feedback shows that this compound is a great all rounder.

RS14 is the most popular ceramic based friction material. Compared to RS4-2 this compound offers a good increase in initial bite and average torque, it has very good modulation characteristics and offers good control against wheel lock at all temperatures. RS14 has a low wear rate and is fade resistant up to a temperature of 650°C.

RS14 Black

High friction racing compound with high content of ceramic materials, fade resistance up to 800ºC. It combines a 20% higher friction value than the RS14 with a slightly increased pad wear. Although the RS15 has a good controllability and release characteristic it needs finesse to avoid over braking the car, especially with lightweight cars or cars with boosted brakes. Applications: Touring cars, Rally cars (tarmac), GT cars, WSC, high down-force single-seaters, NASCAR.

This material provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels, only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. A true favourite with endurance racers having won many classes at all major endurance events. A multiple winner of Daytona 24h, Le Mans 24h, Sebring 12h, Spa 24 h, Nürburgring 24h etc, often with no pad change and usually no disc change.

RS29 combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Although designed primarily for endurance racing, because of the consistent levels of performance and user friendliness many competitors also use this material successfully for sprint and short distance races.
